The Lighthouse immerses you in a dark black and white, PSX style little prototype strongly inspired by the end of the homonym movie by Robert Eggers (2019).

What i worked on
I developed this game alone, so i worked on everything from concept elaboration to implementation with visual scripting (playmaker)
Description
With this game i want to recreate the mood of the movie: alienation.
How i do that:

No HUD for more immersion

Only light and structure of the island guide the player to key points

Supernatural and estranged elements

Medias res start

The mystery remains as to what the lighthouse hides

To reproduce the aesthetic instead:

Black and white

4:3 video format

Few dim lights to give importance to that of the lighthouse and the flashes

PS1 filter to give an older, dirty and disturbing look
-
No music, only ambient sounds are heard
-
Looped siren sound
